Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview
At Vasant Vastra, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our hand-woven luxury ethnic garments. However, if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we provide a transparent return and refund process in compliance with Razorpay Merchant guidelines and consumer protection laws.
2. Return Window & Eligibility
We accept returns on select items under the following strict conditions:
- Return Window: All return requests must be raised through your user account dashboard within **3 days** of order delivery. Requests made after 3 days will not be approved.
- Condition: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unwashed, unaltered, and in the exact condition that you received it. All original tags, labels, and protective packaging must be intact.
- Handloom Characteristics: Please note that minor irregularities in block prints, handloom weaves, and natural dye patches are traditional characteristics of hand-crafted garments, not manufacturing defects.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable:
- Customized, tailored, or altered items (e.g. customized stitched blouses).
- Items bought during promotional Clearance Sales or Clearance Events.
- Items showing signs of usage, perfume scents, body makeup, or wash residues.
4. Return Process & Pickup
How to submit a return request:
- Go to My Orders inside your Account Dashboard.
- Locate the delivered order, click **Return Item**, specify the return reason, and upload a clear picture showing tags intact.
- Once approved, a reverse shipping courier will be scheduled to pick up the packet within 2-3 business days.
- Reverse pickup is free for domestic locations in India. For international orders, customers must arrange and pay for shipping the item back to our artisan hub.
5. Refund Processing Timelines via Razorpay
Refunds are processed promptly upon receipt and verification of the returned item:
- Inspection: Once we receive your returned package at our hub, it goes through a physical quality inspection (typically within 48 hours).
- Approval & Gateway Refund: Once approved, the refund is initiated automatically back to the original source method (Net Banking, UPI, Wallet, Credit/Debit card) via our secure gateway, Razorpay.
- Bank Processing Period: Depending on the card issuer and bank network, the refunded amount generally reflects in your bank account or card balance within **5 to 7 business days** from the approval date.
- Cash on Delivery (COD) Refunds: If you paid using Cash on Delivery (COD), the refund will be credited directly to your bank account. You will receive an automated secure link via SMS/Email to fill in your UPI ID or account details to receive your refund instantly.
6. Order Cancellation Policy
If you change your mind, orders can be cancelled with the following provisions:
- Before Dispatch: You can cancel your order directly from your order dashboard for a full refund before it is packaged and shipped.
- After Dispatch: Once the package is shipped and a tracking number is generated, cancellations are not possible. You must receive the package and follow the standard Return Process.
